Rendering services in Hertfordshire

A render coat protects your walls from the weather first and improves how the property looks second. We work with a range of systems and pick the one that suits the wall, not the brochure.

Sand & cement rendering

The traditional method: a mixture of sand, cement and water applied to exterior walls for a hard, weather-resistant surface. A cost-effective choice for older buildings and for covering uneven or tired brickwork, with a smooth or textured finish.

Once dried, sand and cement render can be painted in any colour.

Silicone rendering

A modern, low-maintenance system: flexible enough to resist cracking, water-resistant while letting walls breathe, and available in a range of colours. Its self-cleaning properties make it popular for exposed or urban properties.

Monocouche rendering

A single-layer, through-coloured render that removes the need for painting. Uniform colour throughout the material, efficient application on larger projects, and good resistance to cracking and weather damage.

Insulated render systems

Insulation boards fixed to the exterior walls, finished with a render coat: reduced heat loss, lower energy bills, and a refreshed exterior in one job. A practical route to better energy efficiency without losing interior space.

Render repairs & maintenance

Cracks, staining, water ingress and general wear are repaired to match the existing render — keeping the surface doing its job and the property looking after itself.

FAQs

Rendering questions

Which render system is right for my property?

It depends on the substrate, the property's age and exposure, and your budget. Sand and cement suits older brickwork and tighter budgets; silicone and monocouche suit those wanting low maintenance. We recommend after seeing the wall.

Can you repair existing render instead of replacing it?

Often, yes. Cracks and localised damage can usually be repaired to blend with the existing finish — we'll tell you honestly if the render is beyond patching.

Do you render commercial buildings?

Yes — we work with both domestic and commercial clients across Hertfordshire.

Are you insured?

Yes, all of our work is fully insured.
